Industrial Gate Operators for Warehouses.
Sliding and swing operators for warehouses, logistics centres, and factories. Gates up to 1,800 kg. Every Open Bear motor operates from -35°C to 70°C and ships with full English documentation included.
INDUSTRIAL GATE OPERATORS
From ward corridors to main entrances — matched to the door weight, traffic volume, and noise requirements of each application.
Heavy-Duty Swing Gate Operator
Gate leaves up to 6 metres long and 1,200 kg. F-class thermal protection — winding insulation rated to 155°C — keeps the motor running through all-day continuous operation.
Sliding Gate Operators
Handles sliding gates up to 1,800 kg with 150 Nm of output torque. A rack-and-pinion drive — the drive mechanism used in industrial automation — gives precise, repeatable movement at 0.2–0.3 m/s.
Side-Mounted Swing Gate Operator
Handles swing gates up to 1.5 metres and 200 kg with the fastest angular speed in the range at 69.7°/s. Bluetooth and WiFi built in — open from a phone without any additional hardware. CE certified.
Designed to Run All Day. Every Day.
Industrial models are built for high-cycle continuous operation — not the 15–20 daily cycles a residential motor handles. The 400W servo motor maintains its rated torque under sustained load without thermal buildup beyond 15°C above ambient.
Both industrial models are built for high-cycle continuous operation — not the 15–20 daily cycles a residential motor handles. The 400W servo motor maintains its rated torque under sustained load without thermal buildup beyond 15°C above ambient.
The sliding gate operator ships with a 10-parameter controller — set auto-close time, deceleration position, obstacle sensitivity, minimum speed, and maximum speed from the panel. No third-party controller required.
Every industrial model has a manual release built in. In a power outage, your team opens the gate by hand — no tools, no delay, no site shutdown waiting for a technician.
Safety Features Built for Industrial Environments.
Every Open Bear industrial motor is built around the same core safety platform — DC24V safe voltage, F-class thermal protection, and obstacle detection. These are not optional add-ons. They are standard across both industrial models.
DC24V Safe Voltage
Industrial gate structures are metal. Every Open Bear motor runs on 24V DC — a permanent magnet synchronous motor at safe-touch voltage — which means electric leakage onto the gate frame is not possible. No shock risk for workers in contact with the gate.
F-Class Thermal Protection
F-class winding insulation is rated to 155°C — the same thermal protection class used in industrial motor applications worldwide. The motor will shut down safely before it reaches a damaging temperature, never before it reaches its rated operating limit.
Obstacle Detection
The motor stops and reverses on resistance above the threshold. Set the sensitivity via the controller — firm enough to stop a vehicle intrusion, sensitive enough to reverse on unexpected contact with a person.
Temperature Rise Cap
Under full continuous load, motor temperature rises no more than 15°C above ambient — across both industrial models. That is sustained performance at rated capacity, not a peak figure achieved briefly then lost.
WHY OPEN BEAR
Six Reasons Buyers Choose Open Bear.
WHAT OUR BUYERS SAY
Trusted by Gate Opener Buyers Across North America and Beyond.
"I was worried about safety with kids around. The DC24V motor runs completely safe to touch — even mid-cycle. Setup was straightforward and everything I needed came in the box. It has been running without a single issue for eight months."
"We manage 14 gated properties across two provinces. Open Bear replaced three different brands we were using — one supplier, one documentation standard, and the same DC24V system across every site. Maintenance is much simpler now."
"The spec sheets are in plain English and the wiring diagrams are clear. I have installed six units across residential and commercial projects. Not one callback. The -35°C to 70°C range means I spec the same model regardless of location."

Open Bear industrial gate operators handle gates from 1,200 kg up to 1,800 kg depending on the model. The heavy-duty swing operator handles swing gates up to 1,200 kg and 6 metres in leaf length. The 400W sliding operator handles sliding gates up to 1,800 kg — the highest capacity in the Open Bear range. Both run on 400W DC24V servo motors rated for continuous industrial operation.
Every industrial model has a manual release built in. When power is lost, a site worker disengages the motor manually and pushes the gate open by hand. No tools are required, and no technician needs to be called. The gate can be secured in the open or closed position until power is restored.
Yes. DC24V is below the threshold where electric current causes injury on contact. A permanent magnet synchronous motor at 24V DC cannot produce leakage current onto a metal gate frame that poses a shock risk to workers. This is a key reason industrial buyers in regulated markets specify DC24V motors over traditional AC alternatives.
Both industrial models — the 400W sliding operator and the heavy-duty swing operator — are rated from -35°C to 70°C. This covers the full climate range of Open Bear's primary markets, including Canadian winters, Middle Eastern summers, and Southeast Asian humidity up to 95% non-condensing. No additional weatherproofing or cold-start accessories are required.
Both industrial models run at or below 60 dB during operation. For reference, 60 dB is roughly equivalent to a normal conversation at close range. At an active warehouse or factory site, the motor will not be audible above ambient noise.
