28 Rack-and-Pinion Sliding Door Operator
Two models. One platform. Every sliding gate covered. This sliding gate opener runs on 24V DC, moves at up to 0.3 m/s, and ships complete with controller, remotes, and all hardware. Choose 200W for gates up to 1,200 kg or 400W for gates up to 1,800 kg.
Overview
Open Bear's sliding gate opener handles gates up to 1,800 kg — 150 Nm of torque on the 400W model, 89 Nm on the 200W. Both run on a 24V DC rack-and-pinion drive, operate from -35°C to 70°C without modification, and ship complete with controller, remotes, and all hardware. Sold factory-direct from the manufacturer — no reseller markup, full English documentation in every box.
1,200 kg or 1,800 kg. Pick the One That Matches Your Gate.
The 200W model delivers 89 Nm of torque and handles gates up to 1,200 kg — right for most residential driveways. Step up to the 400W and torque rises to 150 Nm, pushing the capacity to 1,800 kg — enough for a full industrial entrance gate. Same controller. Same dimensions. Same rack-and-pinion drive. Only the power and capacity change.
Five Ways to Open Your Gate. Your Choice.
The controller connects to every major access method — press a button, tap an IC card, walk through a microwave sensor, use the included remote controls, or connect a face recognition terminal. Every method works through the same controller. Run one or several simultaneously to match your property and security setup.
10 Settings. Set Once. Works Every Cycle After That.
The controller gives you full control over how your gate behaves — opening speed, closing speed, auto-close delay, deceleration position, obstacle response, and more. Ten parameters, set once during installation. The controller stores every setting across power cycles — no re-entry needed after an outage. A battery backup module keeps the gate running normally if the grid goes down.
24V DC. Quiet at 60 dB. Works from -35°C to 70°C.
The motor runs on 24V DC — well below the voltage where electric shock becomes a risk, even if someone touches the gate while it moves. Both models run at 60 dB or below — quieter than a normal conversation. The operating range covers -35°C to 70°C, so the same unit works through a Canadian winter and an Australian summer without modification.
